I would love to see pictures of peonies that are purple — I wonder if they're even possible?
As I understand it, Kansas peony plants are a deep, rich red, not the vibrant purple I've seen in other plants.
This Kansas peony plant isn't your typical purple variety. It's got these rich red flowers that almost look pink.
They're usually a rich, deep red, with no purple tones at all.
Purple is a rare color for peonies, and I don't think
